Westwood Public Library Museum Pass Policy

Museum passes are available to Westwood residents and town employees. A resident or employee must have a valid Minuteman library card in order to borrow passes. As a courtesy to our non-Westwood patrons, while advance reservations are not possible, we do encourage you to call the Circulation Desk (781-320-1048) the day before or the day of your intended visit.  Library staff will make the reservation for you over the phone if the pass is available.

Passes may be reserved up to 30 days in advance online, in person, or by phone. If you reserve a pass and your plans change, you may cancel online at My Passes (at least 24 hours before the date of use) or by calling the Circulation Desk at 781-320-1048.

Passes may be picked up at the Circulation Desk the day before or the day of use. You must bring the library card you used to reserve the pass. Check with the Circulation Desk staff for non-resident rules.

Returnable passes are due back on the day of use and must be returned only to the Main Library (660 High Street). Passes may be returned at the Circulation Desk or in the book drop when the Library is closed. They are given out in a protective envelope and must be returned in it.

The late fee for an overdue pass is $5.00 per day.

A patron who loses a museum pass must pay the museum’s replacement cost or a default price of $25.00. The Library will work with the museum to determine the cost.

Library Passes are made possible through the efforts of the Friends of the Westwood Public Library and the generous support of several local groups and businesses.

The Friends of the Westwood Public Library is a non-profit group that raises funds through dues, donations, and the sale of used books. We use these funds to supplement library expenditures that are not covered by the library’s operating budget, including book purchases, technology upgrades, authors’ visits, children’s activities, and museum passes
