Chinese New Year 2016
Chinese New Year 2016 begins on February 8 and goes until February 22. According to the Chinese Zodiac, 2016 is the Year of the Monkey. There are 12 different animals in the Chinese Zodiac and they run in 12 year cycles. My daughter, Rita, who is from China, was born in 2004 and she is a Monkey. This year she will turn 12 and this will be her year once again. Her birthday, February 16 falls in the midst of Chinese New Year.
Monkeys are known to be witty, intelligent, and have a magnetic personality. They can also be mischievous, curious and clever. They are also fast learners! For those born in 2004, the Monkeys are said to be compassionate with strong self-esteem…but they can be stubborn. My daughter fits right in with the Monkeys because she is very compassionate as well as being curious and clever. We would not have her be any other way!
