This is a new group for adults interested in writing. The Westwood Writers' Group will meet once a month to:
• write together
• critique each other's work
• discuss a writing topic of interest for the group
It doesn't matter if you have been writing for years or just thinking about it. It doesn't matter if you write romance or thriller or literary fiction. It doesn't matter if you write very short fiction or 500K word novels. All are welcome!

Author Stephen Puleo will give a lecture about his book, Dark Tide: The Great Molasses Flood of 1919. Copies of Dark Tide, which Mr. Puleo will autograph, will be available for purchase. This lecture is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the Friends of the Westwood Public Library and the Friends of the Council on Aging.

Dr. Ronald Mayville, a Senior Principal at the structural engineering firm of Simpson, Gumpertz & Heger, has spent many years looking into what caused the failure of the molasses tank that created one of the worst disasters in Boston history. Dr. Mayville will share his explanation of why the tank failed, and the lessons as a result of this disaster.
