Westwood Writers’ Group

This is a new group for adults interested in writing. The Westwood Writers' Group will meet once a month to:

• write together
• critique each other's work
• discuss a writing topic of interest for the group

It doesn't matter if you have been writing for years or just thinking about it. It doesn't matter if you write romance or thriller or literary fiction. It doesn't matter if you write very short fiction or 500K word novels. All are welcome!

To register, please email Anu at composeadream@gmail.com, call 781-320-1045, or stop by the 2nd Floor Info Desk at the Main Library.

Tidal Shift

All ages are welcome to join us for this fun family project that raises awareness about pollution from plastic bags and the harm that they can cause to wildlife, such as sea turtles, when they end up in our oceans.

We will hear a short presentation by Claudia Paraschiv, a Salem-based artists who created Tidal Shift.  Following the presentation, we will turn discarded plastic bags into "jellyfish" that will be displayed at the Library.

Please bring any plastic bags that you have!

Sponsored by the Westwood Environmental Action Committee.
